Overview

Release Point Ventures LLC ("Release Point Ventures," "we," "us," or "our") operates BoutiqueOS, a retail operations platform for boutique retailers, available at boutiqueos.ai. BoutiqueOS includes ReceiptAI, a Shopify app that enriches existing product listings with AI-generated descriptions and uploaded photos.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the rights and choices you have. It applies to our website, the BoutiqueOS platform, and the ReceiptAI Shopify app.

We are based in the United States. We are not established in Europe, and we store and process information in the United States.

Information We Collect From Website Visitors

When you visit our website, we collect:

• Your name and email address when you sign up for our newsletter or use our contact form, along with details you provide such as your store name, website, and point-of-sale system.
• Standard log information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view.

We use cookies and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site.

Information We Collect From Account Holders

When you create a BoutiqueOS account, we collect:

• Your name, email address, business or store name, and (if you provide it) your phone number. Your password is stored only in hashed form.
• Operational logs such as IP address, request timestamps, and records of the imports and actions you take in the app, which we use to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Information We Collect Through the Shopify API

When you install ReceiptAI and connect your Shopify store, we access a limited set of store data through Shopify's GraphQL Admin API, using only the permissions you grant during installation:

• Product and variant records — product titles, SKUs, variant attributes, existing descriptions, and product images — which we use to locate the correct product and add enriched content to it.
• Sales-channel (publication) and store location settings, used to publish enriched products to the channels you select.
• The access token Shopify issues to your store, which we store in encrypted form so the app can perform the actions you request.
• Photos you upload and any product notes or seed text you enter for description generation.

ReceiptAI is a one-way enrichment tool. We do not access, collect, or store your store's order or transaction data, payment data, or your store's customers' personal information. We do not request access to customer records.

Information From Your Store's Customers

None. ReceiptAI has no storefront component. We do not place cookies or other tracking technologies on your store customers' devices, we do not track how visitors navigate your store, and we do not collect or process any personal information belonging to your store's customers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above solely to provide, support, and improve the service. Specifically, we use it to:

• generate product descriptions and SEO metadata and add them, along with your uploaded photos, to your existing Shopify products;
• publish enriched products to the sales channels you choose;
• authenticate you and manage your account and subscription;
• send you newsletters and product updates, if you have subscribed;
• respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
• operate, secure, debug, and improve the service; and
• communicate with you about your account, products, and services.

To generate descriptions, we send product attributes you provide or that we retrieve from Shopify (such as product name, brand, category, and your notes) to our AI provider, Anthropic, through its API. This data is used only to produce the requested content and is not used to train AI models.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or for any purpose other than those described in this policy.

Email Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you periodic emails about product updates, new features, and relevant content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

How We Share Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share information only with service providers ("subprocessors") that help us operate the service, and only as needed for them to perform their function on our behalf:

• Anthropic — AI processing for description generation
• Supabase — database and storage
• Railway — application and API hosting
• Vercel — website hosting
• Resend — transactional email
• Buttondown — newsletter delivery
• Google (Google Analytics) — website analytics
• Stripe — payment processing for BoutiqueOS subscriptions (the ReceiptAI app itself is free to install; no charge flows through the Shopify installation)

We require these providers to keep your information confidential and to use it only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.

How Long We Retain Information

• Connection credentials are retained while your Shopify store is connected and are deleted when you uninstall the app (we honor Shopify's shop/redact request by deleting your stored store connection).
• Account information is retained for as long as your BoutiqueOS account is active, and is deleted or anonymized on request after your account is closed.
• Uploaded photos are transmitted to your Shopify store and are not retained on our systems.
• Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Server logs and in-app activity records (such as IP address, request timestamps, and your import history) are retained for as long as needed to operate, secure, and support the service, and as required for legal purposes.

Where We Operate

Release Point Ventures is located in the United States, and we store and process information on infrastructure located in the United States. We are not established in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. The ReceiptAI app is currently offered to merchants in the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request deletion of your information; and
• opt out of marketing communications.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law.

As a Shopify app, ReceiptAI also responds to the data requests Shopify requires of every app, regardless of the data an app holds. Because we do not collect or store any personal information about your store's customers, we have no such data to return or delete in response to a customer data request or customer redact request. When you uninstall the app (shop redact), we delete your store's stored connection data.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) for all connections to the service and encryption at rest for stored connection credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the updated policy on this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
